Week #4

Starting Weight:  240.4

Current Weight: 233.4

Loss This Week: 0.4 lb.

Overall Loss: -7.0 lbs.!

I'm hoping to be under 230 next week at weigh in.  I know that's a steep request, but I'm going to put in some hard work to make it happen.

I also entered a challenge this week on WW when I set a goal to be at 215 by July 4.  Hard work, here I come!

A Challenging Week!

This past week, my dad visited me.  We had a great time catching up and traveling around, but it was a BIG challenge for me to stay on track.  We ate in restaurants every day that he was here, and I had to make really wise choices.  I'm sure that the waiters were glad to see me go!  "Can I have this with no butter, no oil, substitute this for that, etc.?"  Lol.  I also put in lots of extra workout time in order to keep up with the extra food.

The good news is that I still had a loss this week!  A small one but it's also TOM, so that affects my weigh-in too.  Woohoo!  I CAN do this even in crazy circumstances and when I'm around my family.

Week #3

Weigh-in: 233.8

Loss: 0.8 lbs.

I'm super happy to have a loss.  This week was so unpredictable for me.  Stress over event planning, random meals at special event, out with friends, bridal shower, and a work conference.  I tried my best to make wise choices, and they paid off!  I am encouraged.

I also think I left my shoes (ballet flats) on today when I got on the scale!  I didn't realize until a few minutes later....oops!

Survived a Night Out...and Had Fun!

Today was a big day for me!  This past week has been pretty stressful, so I was definitely due for some fun time with the girls.  We decided to check out the Cherry Blossom Festival and grab dinner and drinks.  Sounds great, right?  Well, it's a little tricky to just grab food on the fly at random restaurants when you're tracking your intake!

I'm proud of myself for two reasons:

1) I told my friends about my WW ambitions today!  I just laid it all out there.  I used to be ashamed but now I'm proud of myself.  They should know so they understand my needs/M.O.

2) I did a pretty good job of ordering a healthy dinner.  I picked a grilled shrimp and avocado salad, and came home to find that it came out to 13 points.  Not bad at all.  I also resisted margaritas though the rest of my friends indulged.  They didn't give me a hard time because they knew about my WW goals!

Yay!  Feeling successful in a situation that usually would have stressed me.  I CAN do this!

Day One

I've started back to WW after reaching my highest weight ever.  240.4.  Wow.  The last time I weighed this was in 9th grade, and 240 is like a magic number to me.  It signifies "no more".  Must do something.

I am doing something.  I swallowed my pride, signed up for WW online again, and even went to a real-life meeting.  This isn't my first go-round with WW.  I joined up in 2005, lost 40 lbs. and was at my lowest weight ever, 187, in November 2006.  I know that I can do this, and I'm going all the way this time.  I refuse to give up!

My purpose in this blog is to keep myself accountable to the online community and to myself.  I plan to post my weekly weigh-ins here and also my measurements.  I give myself permission to admit my failures but I will not let them derail me.  I am determined!

Here are some pictures of me from last week:
